Hutson Shines at World Juniors

KUNGSBACKA, Sweden – AYHL alum Lane Hutson is showing out on the grand stage of the World Juniors Championship. Hutson, playing for the American team, scored an overtime goal to deliver a thrilling 6-5 victory for the USA over Canada in the pre-tournament finale.

Hutson played for the Avalanche in the AYHL, where he sharpened his fundamentals and laid the groundwork for what has become an outstanding career. The 19-year-old was selected 62 picks into the 2022 NHL entry draft by the Montreal Canadiens, and committed to play for Boston University that same year. He also performed well at the World Juniors last year, recording one goal and three assists en route to a bronze medal.

The AYHL is beyond proud to call Lane Hutson an alum and is rooting for him to continue his stellar play when the USA competes in the semifinals on January 4.
