Week 13 Preview: Must-win games in the 15 Only division

WEST ORANGE, N.J. — It'll be a weekend of important games in the 15U Only division. The division's top team will be out of action, which means every other team has a huge opportunity to close the gap.

New Jersey Colonials vs. New Jersey Devils Youth (Premier)

The Colonials have had an impressive season thus far. They’re 5-3 and are currently coming off a 5-0 drubbing over the New York Saints. They’re currently two games back from second place and will need to keep their momentum in order to continue their ascension up the division standings. On the other hand, the Devils are coming off a heartbreaking overtime 1-0 loss last weekend but are still very much alive in the playoff race. Although they currently occupy sixth place, merely one win would put them even with the teams ranked 3 through 5. It’ll be difficult but pulling off a win here would be massive for their season.

Washington Little Capitals vs. New Jersey Jr. Titans (Premier)

The Capitals are coming off an exciting series of games against the Philadelphia Hockey Club, getting the better of the exchange by drawing the first game and winning the second. As for the Titans, they’ll be trying to bounce back after a big loss against the first place Avalanche last weekend. They should be undeterred, as the Avalanche have been burying everyone all season. They have an opportunity here to put last weekend behind them and move forward.

Philadelphia Hockey Club vs. Philadelphia Junior Flyers (Premier)

In a battle for Philadelphia supremacy, the Philadelphia Hockey Club will take on the Philadelphia Junior Flyers. The Flyers are coming off an emotional overtime win over the Devils and are riding a four game win streak. They’re just three wins out of first place behind the seemingly unstoppable Avalanche. The Avalanche won’t be playing this weekend, which means this is a prime opportunity for the Flyers to make up some crucial ground in the standings. Will they take advantage of the opportunity? Or will the Hockey Club play spoiler and win this battle of Philadelphia?
