Atlantic Youth Hockey League

Alex Laferriere who played for the North Jersey Avalanche and New Jersey Colonials was drafted by the Kings at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft on October 7, 2020. A Chatham, NJ, native, Lafierre is a right winger who played for the Des Moines Buccaneers last season posting 45 points (19 goals, 26 assists).

Laferriere was among the top ten U19s in the USHL in points per game last season. Scouts have attributed this success to his outstanding wrist shot and snap shop, calling his shot already “NHL-calibre”. He is committed to play D-1 at Harvard University this season.
