Avalanche make history as first undefeated champion in 15 Only division

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — North Jersey Avalanche made history on Sunday as the first team to complete an undefeated season in the 15-Only division. The AYHL champion team capped off a season that saw 193 goals enroute to a perfect 22-0 record. 

The Avalanche continued that dominance in the playoffs, as winning their semifinal matchup with a 7-0 shutout, before winning the championship game 12-2.

“It feels amazing. A whole season of work paid off there,” goaltender Adam Sherman said of the  title win. “We just developed after each week throughout the whole year.” Sherman supported the successful season with a save .934 save percentage.

The Avalanche will have the week off before heading to the Atlantic Affiliate National Bound Championship Tournament March 15-17 and battle for a bid to USA Hockey Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota.
